March-April

Tejas has been a very picky eater lately. We miss the days when he was such a good eater. Oma visited and brought a new fish book for Karina's birthday but as fish are one of Tejas' favorite things, he quickly claimed it. Oma cleverly said one of the fish characters in the book was about to eat his food if he didn't and he quickly ate every bite presented!
        Tejas is having lots of nightmares and tells us vividly and repeatedly about a mean purple monster jumping up and down on his bed while patting Tejas' head. Some imagination or ploy to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's room!
        Karina enjoyed all the company for her birthday and the nice party Avva and ThaTha threw for her. She finally took her first unassisted step after she turned one but still no attempts at walking.
        Anytime you ask Tejas where Sunny Mama is he says "At the airport. Going to be a doctor". Tejas loves playing with his play medicine kit. He insists on calling the stethoscope a telescope and will correct anyone who tries to teach him the right name.
        We bought Tejas a bicycle in April and poor Seth spent so much time trying to put it together one night but couldn't get the one pedal on. Since Tejas was so excited, and couldn't wait we immediately called Handy Manny's repair shop (i.e. the store) and went to get the pedal fixed (i.e. exchange for an already assembled one). Tejas was so excited about his new bicycle and got his first scratch the first day. He still rides his bike around the house.
        Tejas was eating his treasured fruit snacks when Seth tried to steal some. He yelled at him and said "no, you cook!". Mommy has trained him well
